Biased reporting of the PFA Shortlisting
Friday, April 16th, 2010We are aware that the media is biased towards Man Utd but it is seldom this obvious! The BBC website has the following article entitled:Â
Further the article states:
“Rooney is joined on the four-man shortlist by Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas, Chelsea striker Didier Drogba and Manchester City ace Carlos Tevez.”
Implying Rooney was first on the list and the others were added to make up the numbers?
I cannot see the equavent aticle headlined by “Fabregas of mighty Arsenal shortlisted to win PFA award” or similarly biased pieces toward a particular player or team on the same website. So there it is the BBC are closet reds.
Needs to prey to be in with a chance with the media already on the side on Man Utd.
Yes it hurts when you know the result of the PFA is not going your way.
Drown your sorrows! At least you should know how this lot operates.
It’s a disgrace!
Wednesday, January 27th, 2010Bellamy is pelted with what seemed like coins and bottles before taking a corner, the corner is eventually taken and Man Utd break away to score. Does the TV commentary even hint at the possibility of player intimidation. No. Cheat to win the Carling Cup semi final? Yes.
Note: written in real time before the final result was known.
Tevez sinks Man Utd
Wednesday, January 20th, 2010Tevez playing for Manchester City gets both goals to beat Man Utd 2-1 in the first leg of the League (Carling) Cup. The first resulting from a potentially dubious penalty, these things should even themselves out over the season, but are unlikely to in the case of Man Utd
.
To add to the spice of the fixture the FA are going to investigate Gary Neville’s one finger salute to Tevez.

More information following the Man City Match
Monday, September 21st, 2009OK Man Utd 4 - 3 Man City and a late late goal…. covered elsewhere on this blog. However, while Craig Bellamy is in the headlines for slapping a fan who is  ”charged with going onto a playing area without lawful authority or excuse”, Gary Neville is branded a lunatic for his celebrations in front of the Man City fans. A very similar scenario which led to Emmanuel Adebayor missing the derby match for his celebtation of a goal in front of opposition fans (Arsenal). Also and very interestingly, we have unconfirmed stories from a Man City fan in the ground that Furguson hugged Alan Wiley in celebration of the “injury time” winner. We would love to hear from anyone who saw this or provide a link to photos / videos etc.
All the above, if confirmed (in the case of the later point), points to corruption and biased press / media, something we a Man Utd have been aware of, but proof is something else…… Comments please.
Please post links to this article on other sites you may visit and hopefully more information will come to light, the truth is out there………
Play until you win in the Manchester derby
Sunday, September 20th, 2009Man Utd 4-3 Man City with the winning goal scored in the 6th minute of added time. Even ex red and City Manager Mark Hughes was enraged and after all he knows the play til you win rules and on this occasion those rules must have been exceeded
.
For the record:
Referee: Martin Atkinson, Fourth official: Alan Wiley
Why the Manchester Derby is Unique
Sunday, September 20th, 2009When the Manchester derby between United and City is played at Old Trafford there is something unique about this occasion! It is that the car park is full of home supporter coaches and there are none from the “away” team

Bye Bye Tevez
Tuesday, July 14th, 2009Another of the most hated leave Man Utd - Tevez. After Ronaldo and now Tevez leaving we could be short of players to hate for the coming 2009/10 season….. nah, plenty of stuff will get under our skin!
The pleasure of seeing Tevez score for Man City v Man Utd will be pleasing ![]()
