Double goals conceeded v (Fulham 2 Man Utd 0), double sending off (Scholes and Rooney), double consecutive defeats in the premiership (Liverpool last weekend), double consecutive games with Man Utd having player(s) sent off. It’s Saturday, it’s 3 O’Clock and Man Utd have a fixture (v Fulham), unbelievable I know! Not any more it has been postponed, I assume to accommodate the “Super Cup” v Zenit St Petersburg. This is a meaningless match. The winners of a big competition play the winners of a small competition. Historically it would have carried some interest, when only a few team played in the European and UEFA Cups.
