The case for the Man Utd penalties defended by the BBC v Spurs

On a sunny afternoon in England (for you supporters of Man Utd in far flung places that is the Country where Manchester is), we at hatemanutd did not watch the match, preferring the sunshine. Interestingly, a 3-1 win for Man Utd v Spurs was sealed with 2 penalties. Was this fair, no cheating??? At a key stage of the season when Spurs have recently beat Arsenal and Chelsea.

The BBC quote fends off any possibility…

”Spurs could have no complaints about the penalties awarded by referee Andre Marriner.”

Anyone see it differently…..?

Andre Marriner has fallen below our Ref detector so far, just thought we’d add him to the Categories section just in case he is not so squeaky clean (in the eyes of the BBC) in the future.

Manchester United's Nani pours water over his head during their English Premier League soccer match against Tottenham Hotspur in Manchester

Stop crying!

Christ, didn’t think I’d be on here again, but wanted to see what shite you would spew about the game. It’s all suddenly horrendously clear to me, how you spend your time, Mr Webshite man.

Spurs and their hard core fans had/have no complaints, I was at the game and if they weren’t pernalty offences then my name’s Diedre (it’s not by the way!). All in all, brilliant ref-ing.

But you want them to not have been penalties so you can fuel your hatred. Otherwise, why would you (only an hour after the game) create a theory that doesn’t exist? Sad doesn’t even cut it. Pathetic doesn’t come close. Concerningly unhealthy just about does it. Get a life.

The first one look like a Penatly to me, second one was not a Penatly for me, as soon as he feels contact he goes down looking for the Penalty, Spurs keeper was at fault for the second Goal, should have come off his line and dived for the ball at Nani’s feet, he would have gotten there, instead he seemed resigned to staying on his line and waiting for the shot, poor goalkeeping.

Suppose you support a lower league team that is rarely or never on TV, supporting the opposition to Man Utd seems like a good idea to me!
