Going to Old Trafford?
No this isn’t an article for all you plastic Mancs who live in Slough or some other far flung part of the Universe and think you are a Man Utd fan! It is for the hard core traveling fans who are lucky enough to get a ticket for the away section, which is a nightmare based on Manchester United’s very poor ticket allocation. Of all the available soccer apparel we recommend the new Umbro England drill top.
Whilst it looks cool it keeps you warm and if you wish to travel to Old Trafford incognito it is ideal. In addition it is sticking 2 fingers up at the group of Man Utd fans that believe Man Utd are greater than England. That topic may well be the subject of a future post.

Dan: Refering to Manchster United as “manu” is apparently a form of abuse towards Manchester United. Feel free to abuse Man Utd on here! Manuniteddevils who sometimes posts stuff on here may be able to explain.
Oh and if England win the World Cup - I’m sure you will revert to type (support a team only because they are winning) and claim to be an England fan.

A more common expression is man-ure
I take it that AntiManU is aware that there will be be a slight delay (maybe a week or 3) whilst Dan comes up with a suitably erudite rebuke with which to astound us all….

Any proper Man United fan should never call United ManU, it is used by rival fans who also use the term man-ure. It all dates back to the Munich Air Disaster, if you don’t know about that then you aren’t a United fan. That was the clubs turning point.
People who use it and know the meaning aren’t proper football fans, and I say the same about people who make fun about Hillsbrough.
I would say that I am just as passionate for both United and England, I wouldn’t want to choose between either of them.
As a fellow Manc, I hope you educate yourself on Man United
