The cup that I've mentioned where ManU against Wigan in the Carling Cup. After that, Fergie released a statement that he want to put his young player on loan to other clubs. Is this call training the youngsters? he just want to make a profit without loosing much money.

Can Cristiano Ronaldo in line with a Legendary? in what aspect can the professional put him in the Legendary line as Zidane, Nedved, Henry, Del Piero, George Best, Maradona, Pele? Not at all. In the age of 24, he is not in path where those legendary were. The way they play on their age, is totally different. They are playing football and move the team, not showing-off but making skills and keep the game moving.

ManU is nothing but a bunch of people who keeps running around field, get most of the long ball forward to striker and scores at whichever part of the body. It's not a tactical team, but play to win in whatever way.

Do not put football just for winning.. Put football as the art of the team and the beautiful of the game.. do not mud them with publicity that is unnecessary that make the game dirty...

Don't get wronged.. how many players that fergie fails to develop? once ManU fails to progress in the cup, he put his youngster on loan? is that called training? remember on the early cup race in the english last year where MU failed to progress. He make a statement that he will put most of his youngster on loan to club.

He rule the club like hitler. Can you look at cristiano eyes when he failed to score? he will look to fergie. That's why beckham, nistelroy, stam leave the club. Fergie use his power to make the player plays like he want. His not developing, his enforcing the player to play as he want.

Just look at wenger. He most of the time he will sit on the bench at let the player learn, take reponsibility and cope the pressure by themself. He teach the player on the trining ground at let them think by themself.

And one more thing, cristiano ronaldo just roaming his feet around ball but not going anywhere. Robinho is much faster than him. Just look at his feet. His playing, not fooling around like cristiano ronaldo (I would not name him as Ronaldo cause he will ruin the name of the legendary Ronaldo (Brazil))

ManU is not helping youngster progress.. giggs? ferdinand? scholes?vidic? evra? van der sar? brown? carrick? hargreaves? neville? o'shea? saha? silvestre? youngsters? they are all the first-eleven.. get a grip boy... or maybe you are older than them.

how about Foster, Simpson, Fangzhou Dong, Eagles, Evans, Heaton, Pique and Welback? how many time you saw them playing in big game? They are youngsters but why did fergie bought them just to let them sit on the bench? is this what you called "helping the progress of the youngster"?

Just look lat arsenal. Wenger let their youngster involved in big games and train them to cope with the pressure. ManU? just want to win but not improving the youngster actually. Fabregas, Diaby, Denilson, theo, eduardo, fabianski, bendtner, traore, clichy, songs etc, all of them involved in big games and some of them have already played 90mins in more than 10 or 11 games and some of them are now a world class player in the age of 20.

There are too much unnecessary publisity given by media, that's why ManU is great in the eye of the one who are not love the football, the play, the games.

The pressure a manager is under to achieve targets is all relative. I assume the Rochdale manager was under pressure not to get his team kicked out of the league at the start of the season. He ends up with them in the play offs - Manager of the year? Got a good case even if they don't win promotion in my book.

Yeah you can say that but the lower teams dont have the pressure to win trophies, United are expected to win a trophy so Fergie has to cope with that and so does Grant, Benitez and Wenger. Each club is different you cannot say that Fergie shouldnt be manager of the year just because he has money.

A prime example is Shevchenco, he was bought by Chelsea for 30 million and he has been a massive disappointment. You have to buy the right players.

Welcome to the blog! Rotating squads, buying sensibly, helping youngsters progress...... Not a luxuary all managers have. Small funds mean rotating a squad is not an option because there is not enough players, buying sensibly is a necessity when there is no cash and as for helping young players - lower league teams have no oppertunity to do so as "big teams" like Man Utd buy them up!!!! :(

A Truely good manager copes with the above and survives the season!

To keep everyone happy at a club is no easy task. Ask Rijkaard or Mourinho. Fergie is a great manager because he has the capability of helping youngsters progress (eg: Ronaldo), rotates his squad, buying sensibly not like chelsea and demands his team to attack attack and attack, Although I must admit some tactics used in the Champs League have been way too defensive. But overall thats why he's a great manager.
