Chelsea v Man Utd in Euro Final

Well there will be no surprize which team this blog site is supporting!

Didier Drogba

I cannot help feeling that an all English final somehow devalues the competition. It doesn’t feel “European”. This stems back to 2 things. The money spinning side of the competition where several teams from the same country are allowed to enter (not like the good old days of “champions only”). And secondly Man Utd not doing the decent thing and loosing to Barcelona!

I would really like to see posts from fans of either Man Utd or Chelsea regarding any of the above or their views on travelling to Moscow to play a “domestic” fixture, issues with getting there (visa problems?) or the influence of the battle of the bridge on the fixture.

No problem getting to this fixture, my armchair is in the same place as for all other matches on TV ;)

What do you mean do the decent thing and loose to Barcelona?
Why is an all english final such a problem? United and Chelsea have played foreign opposition and beaten them, both teams deserve to be there

One more thing: are you English?
Because i can understand why the Spanish, French, Italian etc might have a problem with it but why should english fans?

I don’t think it is an issue of being English. The argument would stand if both teams were from the same country, no matter what that country is. In other words this fixture has taken place twice all ready this season and thus detracts from the romance of a International European fixture.
